FOUNDER

A CCMP-certified change manager, author, and ethnographer, Willemien holds advanced degrees from the Universities of Cambridge and Stellenbosch. She helps organizations build inclusive workplace cultures and sustain credible reputations in the emerging acoustics of AI search. An expert in Wikipedia  and Wikidata ecosystems, she has pioneered the application of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) with her proprietary Generative Engine Listening™ (GEL)  framework. Her diverse client portfolio spans billion-dollar asset managers, global tech startups, fashion and Web3 brands, robotics firms, digital banks, and authors and artists.

Academic foundations

Her consultancy practice grows out of more than 15 years of research into race formation, affect, and sound. This grounding in sound studies and sonic atmospheres informs her belief that both organizations and AI systems are environments of listening, resonance, and bias.

Innovator in academia and beyond

In her academic career, Willemien designed and managed decolonial and interdisciplinary degree programs in the arts, embraced new digital formats for publishing, harnessed AI and machine learning for humanities research, and supervised path-breaking ethnographic and arts-based postgraduate projects.

Willemien's  work is grounded in a belief in open knowledge systems as the infrastructures that shape how organizations are represented and remembered. From Wikipedia and Wikidata to collaborative archives, she treats these platforms as cultural spaces where bias, silence, and resonance matter. This commitment runs through both her academic research and consultancy practice, ensuring that clients are positioned credibly and sustainably in the knowledge environments that power AI.
